{"id":744,"date":"2022-02-22T16:29:42","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T16:29:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/festive-fermi.77-237-248-110.plesk.page\/?page_id=744"},"modified":"2022-02-22T16:41:04","modified_gmt":"2022-02-22T16:41:04","slug":"border-bowling-association-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tweedmouthbc.co.uk\/index.php\/border-bowling-association-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Border Bowling Association"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/borderbowlingleague.leaguerepublic.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" itemprop=\"url\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/festive-fermi.77-237-248-110.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Border-Bowling-Association-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Border Bowling Association\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"300\" width=\"300\" title=\"Border Bowling Association\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p>The Border Bowling Association was established in 1872 and is responsible for Mens Outdoor Lawn Bowls in their area as an affiliated member of Bowls Scotland in District 30.<\/p>\n<p>It organises the following competitions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>League<\/li>\n<li>Top 5<\/li>\n<li>Top 10<\/li>\n<li>Fours<\/li>\n<li>Championships<\/li>\n<li>Matt Purdy Trophy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Association Team competes in the East Section of the Andrew Hamilton Trophy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leagues<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are 31 clubs playing in at least one of the Border (2 Divisions), Senior and Berwickshire Leagues, split into the following 4 areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Area 1 &#8211; Ayton, Berwick, Chirnside, Coldstream, Duns Park, Eyemouth, Spittal, Tweedmouth<\/li>\n<li>Area 2 &#8211; Abbotsford, Gala, Gala Waverley, Melrose, Peebles, St Ronans, Stow, Walkerburn<\/li>\n<li>Area 3 &#8211; Ancrum, Earlston, Gordon, Greenlaw, Jedburgh, Kelso, Lauder, Newtown<\/li>\n<li>Area 4 &#8211; Buccleuch, Ettrick Forest, Hawick, Langholm New, Langholm Old, Selkirk, Wilton<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Broughton and District are the only club from District 30 not in the Border Bowling Association.<\/li>\n<li>Langhom New, Langholm Old and Walkerburn do not play in any league<\/li>\n<li>All 8 Area 1 Teams as well as Gordon and Greenlaw play in the Berwickshire Bowling Association League.<\/li>\n<li>The remaining 18 teams play in the Border Bowling Association League.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Border Bowling Association was established in 1872 and is responsible for Mens Outdoor Lawn Bowls in their area as an affiliated member of Bowls Scotland in District 30.
