The final stage of our reconstruction to the club entrance from Riverside Road took place on Thursday 12th May 2022 with the “new” gate being placed into position. Green Warden Ian Turnbull (on the right) led the praise of our resident engineer Mel Lockhard (on the left) for the fantastic work in manufacturing the “new” gate in the image of the old one.

The entrance way to the club has been widened to allow access for larger green maintenance machinery and the onsite maintenance team have worked extremely hard get it all completed for the start of the bowling season. The old gate was a little tired but Mel utilsed as much of the old iron work in this replacement to maintain as much of the history as possible.
