With a final delayed by 45 minutes due to a thunderstorm and hailstones we have to say a big congratulation to this years Carol Ditchfield Invitation Triples winners Norma Renton, Irene Mavin and Susan Lee. Although the green was flooded during the deluge, as if by magic our great playing surface drained fast making for a fantastic final against the runners up Margaret Hamilton, Kathy Mann and Jill Dickey. The trophy was presented to the winners by the tournament sponsor David (Wakey) Wakenshaw.

Once again we would also like to say a BIG “thank you” to the behind the scenes teams who prepared the green, prepared and served the food and ran the competition, ensuring that our guests were well fed and watered and enjoyed a fun day of bowls with added thunder and lighting for dramatic effect
