BOWLS AUCTION

For the last few days we have been holding an auction on behalf of two of our retired members who have now hung up their green shoes. Up for grabs were two sets of bowls, bags and all the bowls paraphernalia to get people onto the green and ready to play, with all the proceeds going to Berwick Cancer Cars. The auction closed on Monday 24th and the club wish to thank all those people who contacted us for information and especially those who put in bids.

We are please to announce that the auction winners were Les & Susan Thompson whose bid of £100 per set came out on top. Club Chairman David McClymont handed over the sets of bowls this week before the Thursday afternoon hat game and it was great to see both Les & Susan getting to grips with there new acquisitions that afternoon.

The club were pleased to be able to help auction these bowls for such a good cause and our Treasurer Margaret Hamilton will be transferring the funds across to the Berwick & District Cancer Support Group over the next few days
