The A1 Triples sponsored by local taxi company A1 Cabs was our second competition of the season. It was a day of changeable weather, being cold and dull at the start but with some intermittent sunshine. The competition lived up to its expectations with teams traveling from across the borders & Northumberland providing the large number of spectators with some fine matches.
The eventual winners were the triple of Billy Learmonth, Angeline Welsh & Brian Davidson who overcame the strong Rothbury team in a thrilling final. The trophy was presented to the winners by the tournament sponsor Mr Brian Hossack of A1 Cabs.
