WELCOME BORDER LINKS

Tweedmouth Bowling club welcomed a number of ladies and gentlemen from Border Links last week to have a day out touring the club facilities as well as spending an enjoyable afternoon having a go at “Try Bowls”. Border Links is a great local organisation helping to develop and create opportunities to support social and economic inclusion for people with learning difficulties and it was great for us to support them especially using bowls provided with help from the Simpson McCreath Trust & Ballinger Trust.Trusthttps://www.simpsonsmalt.co.uk/about-us/corporate-social-responsibility/ & Ballinger Charitable Trust. Our Club President Bobby Dryden acted as tour guide to show them around as well as giving a demonstration of the new “green Iron” recently purchased with a grant from the Northumberland Community Foundation. Our visitors then went on an enjoyed playing on the green and as a club enjoyed having them with us.
